This is a personal and fictive project developed to explore user-centered redesign opportunities for an innovative sports tech product. It reflects my own experience as a user and my passion for crafting better digital experiences in the field of performance analytics.
Enhancing the Future of Racket Sports Analytics
SwingVision is an AI-powered platform that helps tennis and pickleball players analyze their game using real-time video tracking, statistics, and match breakdowns. Its ecosystem spans web, mobile, and Apple Watch apps.
Project Scope
The project is currently in progress and structured in three phases:
Website redesign – completed (homepage only).
Mobile app improvements – upcoming.
Apple Watch experience – upcoming.
My Role
Product Designer (UX/UI) – Leading the design process end-to-end, from research and structure to visual execution. Responsible for creating a cohesive experience across all platforms.
Objectives
Improve first-impression impact and clarity of value proposition.
Segment the audience (individuals vs. clubs/coaches) clearly from the start.
Translate technical features into digestible user benefits.
Reflect a premium, smart, and performance-driven brand identity.
Homepage
Before starting the redesign, I took the time to analyze the existing SwingVision homepage. While the product itself is innovative and technically impressive, the site lacked clarity in both structure and messaging.
Opportunities Identified
Reposition the brand around user value (smart tracking, auto highlights, gamified performance).
Revamped the user journey from awareness to conversion.
Reinforce credibility with more social proof and structured storytelling.
Create distinct paths for different audiences (players vs. coaches/clubs).
This audit helped shape the vision for a homepage that is both conversion-focused and emotionally engaging — setting the tone for the rest of the redesign.
Homepage Highlights
New hero section focused on AI-powered match breakdowns.
Simplified navigation and messaging structure.
Use-case storytelling for different user types (players, coaches, clubs).
Refreshed visual language balancing athletic performance and cutting-edge tech.
What’s Next
Design of core mobile flows (match setup, replay, post-game summary).
Apple Watch UI focused on live scoring and real-time biometrics.
Further exploration of onboarding, data visualization, and performance feedback.
Design Challenges
Repositioning a high-tech product for casual and competitive audiences.
Simplifying advanced features like auto-editing and tracking for broad accessibility.
Designing with modularity to scale across mobile and wearable formats.
