Oscaro Power is a leading provider of solar energy solutions, offering custom solar kits for homeowners and businesses. The company sought a brand refresh that would reinforce its position in the renewable energy sector and better communicate its values of innovation, sustainability, and accessibility.
📌 Project Overview
The branding project for Oscaro Power aimed to redefine its visual identity to align with its mission, vision, and values. The goal was to create a cohesive and modern brand that resonated with both its existing customer base and potential users seeking sustainable energy solutions. The project involved three distinct design proposals, each exploring different creative directions to communicate Oscaro Power's core identity and offerings.

👤 Role
As part of a team of three designers, I contributed to the research, conceptualization, and development of three distinct branding proposals. Each of us worked independently, presenting our ideas to challenge and inspire one another while ensuring alignment with Oscaro Power’s goals through iterative feedback.
🛠 Process & Methodology
1️⃣ Research & Discovery
The project began with an in-depth research phase to understand Oscaro Power's target audience, competitors, and market positioning. This involved:
Analyzing existing branding within the renewable energy sector.
Identifying opportunities for differentiation.
Collaborating with Oscaro Power’s teams to define key brand attributes: sustainability, accessibility, and innovation.
2️⃣ Creative Exploration
Based on the insights gathered, I developed three distinct design proposals, each representing a unique vision of Oscaro Power’s brand identity. Each proposal was crafted to highlight different aspects of the company’s personality and mission.
Concept
♾️ Design Proposal 1
That proposal was rooted in Oscaro Power’s history and commitment to sustainability. The focus was on creating a natural and timeless identity that appealed to eco-conscious consumers.
Key Features
Logo:
Retained the original infinity symbol, symbolizing renewable energy and sustainability.
Adjusted proportions and colors for better harmony and integration.
Color Palette:
Dominated by light and dark greens to represent nature and ecology.
Black and white for contrast and professionalism.
Gray as a neutral tone for supporting elements.
Poppins & Roboto – A Perfect Pair
Poppins, a modern geometric sans-serif, is ideal for headings, offering bold, clean, and elegant letterforms that enhance readability and visual impact.
Complementing it, Roboto provides a versatile and highly legible sans-serif for body text, with a neutral yet friendly design, ensuring clarity across digital and print interfaces.
Applications:
Flexible logo variations for packaging, apparel, posters, and digital platforms.
Minimalist pictograms to highlight ease of use, energy efficiency, and environmental impact.
Marketing Messages:
Slogans like “Do it yourself!” emphasized empowerment and simplicity.
Positioning Oscaro Power as an eco-friendly and cost-effective solution.
🚀 Outcome
That design proposal resonated with stakeholders seeking a traditional and grounded brand identity. However, additional feedback revealed the need for a bolder and more dynamic approach to attract a wider audience.
🔌 Design Proposal 2
Concept
Second design proposal aimed to infuse the brand with energy, joy, and accessibility, targeting a younger, tech-savvy audience. The design was vibrant and approachable, reflecting Oscaro Power’s innovative spirit.
Key Features
Logo:
Introduced a playful icon combining a smiley face and an electrical plug.
The lower arc, designed with a gradient, symbolized energy and movement.
Color Palette:
Bright, dynamic colors: orange, blue, green, and red.
Gradients added depth and a contemporary feel.
Black and white for secondary use.
Typefaces:
Futura Bold was used for headings, while Proxima Nova was chosen for body text to ensure readability and a clean aesthetic.
Strong, modern, and versatile for both print and digital applications.
Applications:
Adaptable logo variations for different backgrounds and materials.
Eye-catching posters, T-shirts, and digital banners featuring vibrant gradients.
Marketing Messages:
Emphasized Oscaro Power’s fun, dynamic, and user-friendly personality.
🚀 Outcome
That proposal brought a fresh perspective to Oscaro Power’s branding. While it captured attention with its vibrant and modern design, stakeholders felt it needed more emphasis on innovation and technology.
🔵 Design Proposal 3
Concept
The third proposal focused on Oscaro Power’s technological and futuristic aspirations. The design communicated innovation, premium quality, and a forward-thinking approach.
Key Features
Logo:
A circular shape representing the letter “O” for Oscaro Power.
Dynamic lines symbolizing solar panels.
A lightning bolt at the center to represent energy.
The overall design mimicked a fluid, adaptable form, showcasing flexibility.
Color Palette:
Dominated by a bold electric blue to symbolize innovation and trust.
Secondary colors: yellow and turquoise.
Tertiary colors : white, gray, and black.
Typefaces:
Heading : Mona Sans Wide
Body : Mona Sans Regular
Optimized for digital interfaces and print.
Applications:
Motifs inspired by solar panels integrated into designs.
Branding applied to a range of materials: posters, stickers, visit card, sports jerseys, and tote bags.
Interactive and visually striking designs for digital platforms.
Marketing Messages:
Slogan: “Le soleil est là. Nous aussi.” (“The sun is here. So are we.”)
Highlighted Oscaro Power’s innovative and accessible solar solutions.
🚀 Outcome
The third proposal successfully captured Oscaro Power’s vision for the future. While slightly too strong and pronounced, it significantly influenced the final direction, balancing technological sophistication with a premium aesthetic.
Final Reflection
This project showcased the importance of iterative design and independent creative exploration. Each design proposal built upon the feedback and objectives defined during the research phase. While DA 3 was not selected due to its strong and pronounced identity, it served as a major inspiration for the final branding. The process highlighted the value of flexibility and creativity in delivering a brand identity that resonates with diverse audiences.
